Chris Zeeb
About the Instructor
Chris Zeeb, a lifelong Nebraska resident, is one of the first Nebraska State Patrol certified Concealed Carry Instructors,
and has been teaching Nebraska Concealed Carry classes since the very beginning of the program, January 2007. Having spent
ten years teaching in a college classroom, Chris decided to begin teaching concealed carry, a subject he is extremely passionate
about.
Chris is not your usual firearm class instructor. Chris does not have a military or law enforcement background, he is
not a hunter or outdoorsman, he really didn't grow up exposed much to firearms. Chris' interest in firearms for self defense
came from having been in a couple scary situations (An Armed Robbery and later his home broken into) where he learned the
Police were not going to be there to magically save the day. Chris realized that there was only one person that he could count
on to protect his family, and that was himself.
Just like many people, he bought a gun to protect himself and his family, but at first didn't seek any training. After
a couple years of owning a firearm. Chris began fully immersing himself in literally thousands of hours of firearms and self
defense training all over the United States.
Chris has spent many years participating in handgun shooting sports such as GSSF, USPSA, IDPA, Steel Challenge, as well
as becoming a certified USPSA Chief Range Safety Officer and IDPA Safety Officer . Chris was the founding member and first
President of the Nebraska Firearms Owners Association (NFOA), a non-profit organization to represent and stand up for the
rights of firearms owners across our state.
